Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, you should be able to: 

  1. Recognize the high rate and variability of psychosocial symptom severity among bereaved parents, emphasizing the importance of individualized assessment and support.
  2. Evaluate the role of social functioning in early parental grief, including its association with other early grief psychosocial outcomes.
  3. Explore how communication with medical teams influences parental decision-making, end-of-life preparation, and long-term well-being, and highlight the need for co-developing meaningful interventions with bereaved parents.
