CAP Quarterly Education Series Quarter 2

The APP Quarterly Education Series seeks to offer education to Advanced Practice Providers on various clinical and professional development topics.

Series will be held in person at the Marlo Thomas Center. Meeting Room 5.

1. Establish APP understanding of common diagnoses, terminology, and trends in treatment across the fields of psychiatry, AYA, hospitalist/ACC, fertility, critical care, infectious disease, and hospitalist medicine.
2. Introduce APPs to the departments, team members, and basic workflows within Spiritual Care Services, Hospitalist, Critical Care, Fertility, Psychiatry, and Infectious Disease at St. Jude.
3. Introduce APPs to the concept of interprofessional teaming and resources to support and enhance it through interactive case studies.
4. Introduce interdisciplinary professionalism definition and concepts though collaboration and partnership with the St. Jude Fellowship Program.
5. Motivate and share the importance of APP professional organization participation while increasing knowledge of advocacy and networking opportunities.
6. Introduce APPs to virtual reality simulation and enhance APP wellness through a virtual mindfulness scenario.
