Pediatric Head and Neck Malignancy Fellowship Course

The course is designed for Pediatric Otolaryngology fellows as well as residents who matched into a Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship. It will focus on the management of common pediatric head and neck malignancies with a focus on multi-disciplinary care.

Note that this course will be held in person on the St. Jude campus in Memphis, TN. No virtual option will be offered. 

Topics will include:

• Thyroid malignancy
• Nonmalignant surgical thyroid disease
• Management of soft tissue carcomas
• Management of salivary gland malignancies
• Management of malignant melanoma
• Second primary tumors
• Approach to the pediatric skull base
• Management of sinus disease in patients with pediatric malignancy
• Airway management in children with malignancy
• Dysphagia and dysphonia in children with malignancy
• Free flap reconstruction in pediatric head and neck tumors
• Development of a multidisciplinary team and research management

1. Identify the challenges in treating pediatric head and neck malignancies
2. Determine the best treatment strategies for a variety of pediatric head and neck tumors
3. Demonstrate that multi-disciplinary care of these patients improves patient outcomes

Registration for this course is free. Please note that this course will be held in person on the St. Jude campus--no virtual option will be offered.
