Overview

Although medication options for treating pediatric nervous system tumors continue to expand, medications can have a heavy side-effect burden and are often best used when the tumor burden is low. The importance of surgery in this patient population therefore remains undiminished, and the expansion of medication options has refined the need for better surgical results since not all tumor subtypes will respond to medications.

This in-person conference will focus on both the big picture and the details of neurosurgery for nervous system tumors. It will be highly interactive with a combination of talks and built-in time for both questions and answers as well as discussions of cases. It will provide us a unique opportunity to discuss surgical nuances and learn from one another.
